Astronauts in Tin follows adults who take part in astronaut cosplay. For them, the costume is freedom: room to imagine, to define themselves, and to change. In the chrome suit, the fantasy of becoming an astronaut never fully separates from everyday life. The suit's mirrored surface reflects the wearer and the world around them, and it raises the question of where identity ends and reality begins, or whether the two were ever separate.
